  • As per the news, in December, Hawaii decreased its compulsory hotel quarantine from 14 to 10 days. Moreover, the visitors who are above 5 years and belong to Canada, United States, Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea can avoid quarantine. But they should have a negative PCR test result of 72 hours before leaving from a permitted provider.
  • For all the travelers who are planning a trip to Hawaii, it’s mandatory for them to register their journey details online. They can do this through the Safe Travels program in which they have to upload their PCR test result prior to boarding their flight.
  • Furthermore, people who are flying domestically within the United States to Hawaii are not required to get a PCR test prior to coming back to the mainland US. Besides, this required by the CDC when anyone comes back from other countries.
  • Apart from the Hawaii travel restrictions, if you are visiting Maui then the rules are different. To travel there, you will have to take another test at Kahului Airport after reaching there. Travelers get the results within 15 to 20 minutes and it is free of cost to ease the traveling experience of the tourists.
  • Tourists visiting other islands might be selected randomly for a second test for free of cost and they will get the results soon.
  • From May 25, Hawaii dropped its mask obligation for people outdoors. However, large groups must still wear masks outdoor, and they are needed for vaccinated as well as unvaccinated people indoors.
  • The restaurants in Hawaii are open for takeaway and delivery of food items is allowed with some places supporting outside dining this summer season.
  • Most of the beaches in Hawaii are open with few restrictions. Whereas mountaineering trails are open with group limits set at 25 people on the Big Island and Kauai, 10 on Oahu, and 5 people on Mau. Furthermore, all the visitors are required to follow all the social distancing guidelines on trails and must wear masks.
  • All the museums, zoos, and cultural attractions are allowed to open in Hawaii at 50 percent capacity for indoor places. In addition to this, all the hotels and guest houses are open for travel all over the state with few COVID-19 guidelines.
  • Travelers can also enjoy movies in theatres in Oahu as they are allowed to open at 100% capacity and 50% everywhere else in Hawaii.
